I suppose it's a little bit unsettling when you sign into MSN Messenger and everyone who was online promptly disappears, but it does slightly make me laugh. I do sympathise. I wish it was socially acceptable in real life to leg it through the nearest door when someone you don't much want to talk to walks in.
(I thought today that I'd gone off peanut butter till I dipped a few shards of Easter egg into the jar, and then I discovered I hadn't. Good enough.)
