MSN
I suppose it's a little bit unsettling when you sign into MSN Messenger and everyone who was online promptly disappears, but it does slightly make me laugh. I do sympathise. I wish it was socially acceptable in real life to leg it through the nearest door when someone you don't much want to talk to walks in.
(I thought today that I'd gone off peanut butter till I dipped a few shards of Easter egg into the jar, and then I discovered I hadn't. Good enough.)

Leaving rooms immediately when someone enters is more tiresome than clicking buttons. I hate msn. I never log out because I never log in. it is crazy that it makes you have to be available to be interrupted if you are talking to someone in the first place. I do not understand it.

MSN is fairly rubbish, but I put up with it because it keeps some people from trying to call me. I always pretend to be offline so I can see who might jump on me and talk and then I can sneak away if I think perhaps not, which is like walking out of a room when you're invisible. Hurrah.
