Old(ish) writers.

Seems the Royal Court's decided to stop being agist and switch from a young writers' to a
new writers' programme as of 2009. It still won't be the faintest bit of use to me because even the weekend courses cost £200, but I'm pleased about it in principle. I always thought the 25 and under thing was a load of a prohibitive knobbery.

Yes. That's pretty much what it was. I found it particularly awash with Stupid when that article pointed out the big names who'd come into playwriting sometimes well after the age of twenty-five, which on the whole is probably most of them. Also there's an unsettling comment down the bottom that says there's no point in sending out non-comissioned plays to anyone ever, but I'm ignoring that.
