Things I did.
- I broke top E again. On the electric with the broken pickup. There is no E on the acoustic because I turned it into a top D and that's how it's bally well staying. I don't think guitars can hack being tuned to concert pitch. On the plus side, the string didn't lash me in the face, which is what I expect to happen every time I tune up. So I need a new top E now. Possibly I have one somewhere. Really I needed to buy about a dozen. I've only ever broken top E, except for that time I put G where B was supposed to be and actually managed to tune it all the way up to A before it pinged and tried to take my eye out. I don't know.
- I made some shoddy icons that are not shoddy Nightingales icons. Clearly this isn't one of them. It's not because I think Nightingales is incapable of serving my every need but because I don't want to look entirely obsessed, however truthful looking entirely obsessed might be.
- I made a spinach risotto of sorts.
- I didn't watch Neighbours, ensuring that something worth watching happened.
- I created a David Hockney Sim. He's going to live in a flat above an art gallery and he'll have a swimming pool and he'll paint Starsky climbing out of it in the nude. It'll be great really.
- I chose my book for the month, which is quite exciting because it's Catherine Fisher's new one and she's quite great and even though it's a doorstop I'm not massively worried because I tend to read her rather more quickly than I do other people. And also it's quite large print.
- I worked out where the play begins and pretty much where it ends, though I'm not entirely sure what happens in between.
- I decided you didn't really need to know any of this.
- Then I took the ice-cream out of the freezer to defrost.
