I drew again.

This is Stephen Hendry in his youth. He's lining up a shot that he's doubtless going to pot, but I didn't draw that bit because I didn't. Mostly I need to learn to spend long than ninety minutes on this sort of thing and to draw BIGLY. My sketch pad is A5.



Also his pupils went slightly wrong there. He looks a bit concussed.

I love the band of light across his hair. He must use a good shmapoo to have that much shine!

I am a bit hooked. I keep trawling the bookshelves for decent pictures of people to copy! This ones from a Rothmans tournament pamphlet from the nineties.

I'm sure he uses lovely shampoo. My pictures do seem to come out very shiny - I think it's the scanner wiping out the matt of the paper.

THANK YOU. He had hair in the picture I was using. I miss his hair a lot, and when he potted, and when he won everything. GREAT DAYS.
