Naarmamo 2011 Day 31
Aug. 31st, 2011 11:21 amHere endeth Naarmamo 2011 and my opportunity to communicate to the outside world purely through the media of pencils and origami and photography and Harmony.
This morning I realised I hadn't drawn Shah Rukh Khan at all this year, which is a vile omission, so here he is. He is very happy that I have successfully completed Naarmamo 2011. He cares deeply about my every endeavour. YES HE DOES.

Naarmamo 2011 Day 14
Aug. 14th, 2011 10:42 am
My lovely cat, Tinker, who died in March at the age of twenty-one (the photo this is based on was taken when he was about nineteen). He did feature in a couple of photos in previous naarmamos. This was done, oddly, with enamel paints (aside from a couple of blobs of red, yellow and green poster paints for the eyes and the nose; plus it's zoomed rather on the screen, hence the grainyness around the ears), because that's what was there. It's not great on paper but actually more malleable than I expected.

Naarmamo 2011 Day 5
Aug. 5th, 2011 11:46 am
My portraits are limited to pictures I can find in my parents' house. Luckily I found a Starksy and Hutch annual from 1979. (Managed to get the scanner working for this one, which is why all my CAREFULLY BLENDED pencil marks have come back into sharp relief. Never mind.)
( And one more for luck. )

Naarmamo 2011 Day 1
Aug. 1st, 2011 12:03 pmNaarmamo is back! Hurrah for that. Also minor panic. I'm awful busy and in an elsewhere, so my artifying's apt to be somewhat curtailed this year. I suspect photography with come into play. But I did a quick portrait this morning, of Victor Spinetti in A Hard Day's Night, for the very good reason that his biography happened to be in my bedroom and there was a photo. I want to do some proper portraiting at some stage, actually taking a bit of time over it and that sort of thing - I don't know if I'll be able to, but that's the hope. Also I don't know who to draw this year. I'm not properly in love with anyone. Maybe Zeljko Ivanek. He's bald. That helps.
