Telly I have been watching.
Jul. 5th, 2006 08:52 pm* Thomas the Tank Engine. Really scary episodes of Thomas the Tank Engine, in which Percy is trapped in a collapsing mine, a load of trucks full of tar fall violently onto Gordon and Stepney the Bluebell engine gets lost in the fog and accidentally ends up in the scrapyard. Quite traumatic all in all.
* Dad's Army. I'd forgotten how very possible Walker/Jones was. So very. And Wilson and Mainwaring goes entirely without saying. I recall an episode in which they held hands without noticing for half of an entire scene.
* Button Moon. Saw this last night for the first time in about twenty years. Sadly, it turned out to be kind of racist. This upset me.
And I started to watch a bit of Rainbow but found it too unsettling. It's Bungle. I never liked Bungle. Also Rod, Jane and Freddy. Primarily Rod and his scary eighties beard.
I watched Lost too. I was a bit meh about the last one, which had very little to do with the ongoing plot, though it did have lots of Locke. Never a bad thing.
Also I was eating ice lollies. Not on the telly. This was real life.
(Italy won me sweets. I can't tell you how crazy and happifying this is. I had no notion at the beginning of the sweepstake thing that it might actually be me who'd be getting some sweets. It seems slightly wrong, but I don't think I'll question it. Hurrah.)
I don't know why I am writing a post about the upsetting telly I've been watching of late, but hopefully it'll come to me.
