Not writing.

I get that I'm in some sense hysterical to behold because I've had enough total strangers either wolf whistle sarcastically or say 'You're ugly' from a fast-moving bike. I couldn't actually give less of a stuff about it. What vexes me is a) the young male's sense of entitlement to vocally respond and b) my inability to come up with a decent comeback until I'm two minutes along the road. I contemplated returning to the latest boy of seventeen or whatever he was, once I had a few words ready for him, but probably he's gone elsewhere now. I hope a piano falls on his foot.

It's so ODD having finished my thing I was writing, in other news, and being more or less obliged to let it sit a while. It means I can faff about over the Sunday papers without knowing there's something more pressing I'm meant to be doing. Later on I'm going to make Sims of all the people from Local Hero. Local Hero's getting a DVD re-release, which is rather magnificent. But yes. I want to go to the cinema, but there's nothing I want to see. I just want to go. Going while I was supposed to be writing was always a bit conscience-striking. Why isn't SRK having a film right now? I don't get that.

Of course what I actually ought to be doing is working on one of my other billions of unfinished bits of writing, but I'm ignoring that for now.
