The parents are away this weekend, so I've had a sort of trial run at the grandpa-minding business. Well ... I got him to fax me his shopping list, then I got his shopping, then I found I wanted to sit down for five minutes a lot more than I wanted to leave the house again and there wasn't room in the fridge to stow his stuff so I took my brother up on his offer to convey the shopping to the grandpa. So minor fail there on the truly crucial element. It was fine anyway. Then about an hour ago he sent the obligatory disturbingly nonsensical fax and I fought to contain a cold sweat. Seems to be an evening thing ... possibly something to do with his medication 'cause he's essentially properly coherent the rest of the time. At any rate, I don't much like it. Mostly I need to remember that the three-week minding stint is set for next June and I can't be doing with panicking over it for the next seven months. I have a tremendous headache. It's not even NSAID season.

Otherwise I made an apple and blackberry fool. Go me.
