The Song of Lunch.
Oct. 8th, 2010 09:58 pmI watched this on the assumption that, even if it was in every other way drivel, that'd be fine 'cause I could just look at Alan Rickman. Actually I quite it enjoyed it as a whole. I didn't think the poem exceptional, nor the story, and I thought the form showed up how awkwardly posed poetic dialogue can be ... but it was so different as a mode of storytelling that I'd like to see more of the same.
My favourite bit was Greg Wise's cameo as the back-cover photograph of Emma Thompson's husband. Also Alan Rickman is very nice to just look at.
