It was before Dan Corbett came onto the scene and tipped all the previously sane weatherpeople slightly over the edge. I do remember Rob McElwee being staid and calm and normal, and then one day he went 'The fog is lifting!' in a strange elfish voice and wiggled his fingers a bit and really he's never looked back.
This Labour party conference is excellently camp.
I love cats being nonchalant. Our other cat is outrageously clumsy. She looks very graceful until she starts moving, and she can't jump off even a fairly low chair without wobbling. Sometimes they just give up on pretending nothing went wrong with that landing and wail piteously until we pick them up and say 'there, there'. But mostly not.
I think probably yes - he did win him for a year. It was an actor of the year award or something. Probably he'll have his name tattooed on him and then he'll have to give him to the next winner in 2009. It's a really good incentive to win.
