I dreamt (I dreamed, I did dream) that I asked my brother why he'd spent the past month not speaking to me, and he implied that I'd hired a collection of miscreants to set fire to his girlfriend's house. That'd actually be quite a good reason, though really I think he ought to have called the police as well. It's not the answer though. It's frustrating when you wake up and think maybe you've reached a profound conclusion and then you discover you haven't.
It's cheering when half an hour later, over the Raisin Wheats, you remember the powerfully slashy dream you were having before the brother stuff kicked in.
I watched Paul Merton in India last night. It powerfully made me want to go back to India. I never experienced the Shivratri festivities. All I got in that line was the run-up to Holi, which mostly meant running in zigzags to avoid the kids on balconies lobbing paint filled balloons at your head. I think Paul makes a very good tour guide anyway. I like that his own guide's got such a handle already on the kind of stuff he's likely to be ticked by. Aeroplanes that don't take off and men lifting rocks with their willies. Spiffing.
I got some post this morning, but it wasn't any fun. I forget why I think getting post might be exciting. It never is.
