On hating the boat race.

I hate the boat race. I mean I really quite hate it under my ribs in a sort of growling at the television way. It's just not funny. I don't know what they were thinking of. I'd certainly steal a policeman's helmet if I was in town on the day of the boat race. I would feel law-breakingly angry. I hate universities as well. Most of them. No, all of them. I think. Yes. All.
For balance, I like the grand prix. I don't know if it was worth getting up at 5am, to be fair, but it was a good 'un like they used to have in the old days (meaning the mid nineties), except with fewer bone breakages.
But the boat race is a thing that I hate. I even narrowed my eyes at the perfectly innocuous adverts. And I didn't really know this till today. What's wrong with me?
