Things around the house that look disturbingly sentient (alien ironing board, sad taps and a steam cleaner that looks like a traffic warden with big hips).

I have those taps! I've never thought of them as being particularly sad, though. I do like the ironing board. I think the steam cleaner looks like a sort of motivational character for a public information film aimed at kids. You! Pick up the Litter! That litter right there! Or I shall zap you! Etc.

We are tap twins. I think probably they look more shocked than sad on reflection.
