My previous height estimates were somewhat out. I am now switching to metric. I don't know why.
Sunflower 1 - 14cm. The leader thus far in terms of height. Is developing its second leaves. Has grown in a sort of s-shape and is currently lashed up to a splint.
Sunflower 2 - 12.5cm. It's in fourth place. On the plus side, it's far and away the most upright of the seedlings. It is poker straight. It needs no splint. And its second leaves are flourishing.
Sunflower 3 - 12.7cm. In third place. It has its second leaves and is slightly bendy, but unsplinted. Sadly, it has developed a tear in one of its two primary leaves. I hope it won't be unduly troubled.
Sunflower 4 - 13cm. In second place. Also quite straight, having benefitted from being lashed to a splint yesterday.
Sunflower 5 - Brace yourself. 9.5cm. It seems to have lost one of its two leaves and has yet to start developing the second set. It's also quite bendy. Its remaining leaf is quite big and slightly bifurcated. Will be watching this one closely.
Sunflower 6 - 7.5cm. Second smallest. Only has the one set of leaves. Otherwise healthy.
Sunflower 7 - 9.5cm. It's just starting to develop its second set of leaves.
Sunflower 8 - 12cm. Very much the leader of Pot C. It's also just starting to sprout its second set of leaves.
Sunflower 9 - 9cm, making it third smallest, but it's starting its second set of leaves and is very upright.
Runtface - Well. Nerdcakes, please take a seat. He's essentially not very well. He's 2.5cm tall and hasn't grown since being transplanted. He has a brown ring all around his stem and, most worringly, is not turning to face the light, which is what all the others are doing. The whole family is quite worried. We are keeping a close eye on him and will give regular health bulletins. Fingers crossed for Runtface.
