Loved it. One of the best episodes of the second season. Even if it was Kate. I had low hopes for this one, actually, because of the poor pacing this season: at any point in the first season I would've been very interested indeed to find out 'What Kate Did' - I've seen so little of her this season that I'd more or less forgotten she's done anything. But they managed to catch with themselves pretty well in this episode, what with returning to a few season 1 dynamics and reintroducing the hatch and the whole Desmond thing and his fantastically camp music. I think Horsey was the best ghost yet. Locke, Locke, dearest Locke was properly in the episode, smiling in all the wrong places and saying hello. And the thing with the computer at the end and 'Dad?' and all that was triffic. 'I have a taranshula with an eye the size of a meatball' etc. I think they've done a lot of rescuing with this one: they haven't undone the mistakes of the previous episodes but they've made it a lot easier to go on from this point. Well done them.

What was bad: 'Don't mistake coincidence for fate'. Yes. We'd never considered that particular theme.

Otherwise wheeeeeee.

Eeee, hurrah! I just re-watched that episode yesterday; isn't it a lovely one? It made me like Kate more than I did before, and I liked the horse quite a lot too. Kate's family I did *not* like so much, so I am quite pleased that horrible Wayne got blown up.

Even if Wayne is the horse-ghost, which I just thought of right now but no, I refuse to believe that.

Also, I am ashamed to admit that I'd never really thought about the various things/people on the island as *ghosts.* :( I am SO SHALLOW omg. I either thought, 'oh look, the horse is on the island too!' or (kind of at the same time) 'oh look, the island has gone into Kate's brain and is now doing some weird molecular manifestation thingummy to *make* the horse!' I suck at analysing things; it is good that I am wanting to study history or art/architecture history instead of literature or, you know, the time-honoured subject What All Is Going On in 'Lost.'

~sigh~ Maybe if there is a season 3, I will be in England when it is shown, and we can actually be fannish over it in real time! Unless that sounds stalkerish, oh dear. And unless you have figured out everything all ahead of time, argh.

Ok, and now that I am sure you've seen the episode which contains my favourite LOST-line ever, I can tell you what it is! The line, I mean.

Scene: Ana-Lucia & Co.'s Prison-Pit of Doom...

Jin: ~speaking Korean, expresses concern over Sawyer's rather nasty gunshot wound~
Sawyer: ~deadpan/grumpy~ Why don't you pee on it.

Seriously, I guffawed. I want an icon of it, too, but I'm so wary about spoilers.

Ok, enough babbling from me. ~hugga~

Eeeee! But I think what you said about the 'ghosts' is much nearer than the mark than the idea that they're actual ghosts in the way we'd understand the term. You can't say 'molecular manifestation' and then say you're being shallow. Tut. Horsey wasn't actually hit by the car, I don't think, so isn't the ghost of Dead Horsey whatever else it is. Though I did think only weirdy Walt was able to conjure animals out of thin air.

I hope Wayne isn't the horse ghost. I hope Wayne is just exploded.

Yes! Be in England and watch Lost with me. That would be more than entirely acceptable. Good. That's the plan.

(And eeeee to Jin and his magical healing pee.)
