No spoilers. Much better episode. And the writers (through being pants, to be fair, and wildly inconsistent) have helped me with my 'It's all their fault' get-out clause re. my favourite character. More when am less exhaustified.

Ethan! Much excitement. The theory of disparate groups of Others has been nixed, but I like the idea of them all dressing up to confuse me. And other filk. Mr Friendly looks less fun without his beard. Rousseau continues to be riotous fun.

Why did Eko give Henry a bit of his beard?

Locke and Jack have gone all role reversal again: it's as if Jack was the one condoning torture in the last episode and Locke trusts Henry. This is crap writing, but allows me to put Locke's behaviour in the previous episode down to a writerly blip. Which is essentially all I want from life.

And Sawyer can bugger off. They really have ruined him for me.

The Eko thing is because it's a sign to tell him that he knows he's really gay and his dead wife is all a cover.

Oh, good. Because I think I could quite look forward to Eko/Henry. Henry took Eko's weirdness very bravely. If a man came to me begging randomly for forgiveness then severed a piece of his beard, I'd probably cry.

She was great! She was Hero Rousseau, except she reminded everyone how mad she is by saying 'And of course you must kill the baby' type thing. I approve of character consistency.

Poor drugged Claire. Hurrah for Ethan's creepy return.
