Take one three times a day.
Jan. 27th, 2006 12:05 pmI went to see the doctor this morning, to talk to him about my lockjaw. Well, no. My locked jaw, which has been stiff and weird and unyielding all week. He shined a torch in my ear and twisted my head about a bit and then said I had inflammation in my TMJ (I knew what it was but am getting better at doctor visits and managed not to translate any acronyms out loud) and gave me 84 anti-inflammatory tablets. 84! I'm quite excited at having more than 16 anti-inflammatories in one go. Not in a 'Yay, now I can take an overdose' way. Just in a sort of not having to buy them for ages and not wondering if they're there type way. Also contains sunset yellow. And if they don't work, I'm supposed to go to the dentist and make 'em give me a steroid injection into the joint. Which sounds delightful, but I may have to decline on the grounds that I've shunned the dentist for over two years now because they're expensive and just love to tell me off. So my hope is riding on you, Diclofenac Sodium Enteric coated tablets. Do not let me down.
I rewarded myself for the whole going to the doctor thing by eating a danish pastry. I really ought to stop rewarding myself for doing everyday activities.
