Slow, quick, quick, slow.

I really need to stop being quite so excited about the dancing. Not right now, but one day. Oh the dancing. I want Jan to stay in. I think she's a bit great. Lots of people are telling lots of other people off for voting for people they like rather than people who can dance well. Like when Julian stayed in all through the second series. As if that was some description of problem. Basically I think they can vote for people who they like provided they like the right people, which, to be fair, they sometimes don't. Mostly I think if they want people to cease and desist from voting for people they like, they ought to stop putting recognised characters whose work we might actually admire a bit into the competition. And they shouldn't let us know anything about the competitors ever, lest the viewing public feels contrarily like rewarding improvement or effort or entertainment value over pure talent. And obviously they'd have to get rid of Ian and Anton so people would stop voting them in just to see them being in love. Patently some people feel the resultant programme would be somehow better. Personally, I think recognising doggedness and angsty rubbishness (and slash) over blatant brilliantness is kind of a decent thing to do anyway, 'cause mostly it's the opposite of what the world does. But what do I know. I think these things seem to sort themselves out fairly well by the final anyway. Well, sometimes. Not last year, when Colin and Erin sort of didn't win. But I'm quite glad Julian didn't win in a way as well.
I don't mind if that Georgina woman goes out though, because her man is a beast.
Hello. All the computers are broken (except this one, obviously), a few days before the start of Nano. Apparently I am destined to write the more difficult option. Well, FINE. I can blame YOU for my failure. Also my father's trying to make Sims 2 work again. It's been dead for about a year and I love it very much and it'd be oh so great if it was working again, but not in November. December. That'd be jolly. Oh Nano why? Also I started writing a long short story a few days ago and drew together in it loads of subplots that I'm rather wishing I'd kept for the novel. I know very little about the novel as yet. I would like to know rather more about it by Tuesday.
An hour, an hour, an hour. I'm going to eat some bread now. Bye.

Mostly my opinion is very much in keeping with whether or not I like the person in the first place. What little I saw of the second series, I spent JUDGING the public for not having voted out Julian sooner. But I love Jan Raven far more than I ever expected to and therefore I hope she stays FOREVER. I also really quite like Georgina and would happily get rid of more competent people so she could stay. This was my stance last week and then the public voted out Spoony and I was full of OUTRAGE because, really. So I have NO OBJECTIVITY and I will never be satisfied, but that's okay, becuase my interest in the dancing is quite a distracted sort of interest anyway, yes.
