I'm listening to Rob Brydon doing Pick-up Song and One Song to the Tune of Another on ISIHAC (and on YouTube) and I completely love how excited the audience (which I'm IN on one of these recordings!) is by how brilliantly he can sing. They cheer and whoop and applaud like proper maniacs. It's excellent.

Then Humph says 'Hm'. Oh Humph.

I love how much people love it when Rob Brydon sings! The first time I ever heard him on ISIHAC was when [personal profile] spiralsheep was so delighted by his rendition of Sex Bomb that she felt the need to come and enthuse at me about him. There is totally not enough of that going on.

OH GOD it's so great. When I went to see Humph in Wonderland with Clare WHO IS GREAT (that Clare), they had to re-record the bit where Rob was singing with Andy Hamilton - which didn't actually make it into the broadcast - because he hit this really high note and it was so beautiful that the entire audience cheered way too loudly. And then again during the second take. It was like mostly we went to a Rob Brydon concert and that was our primary aim and purpose.

I would very much go to a Rob Brydon concert.

OH, how brilliant to hear him sing for the first time! It's QUITE a surprise. One of the YouTube videos, I think one that had an entire round of Pick Up Song, had a picture of his LOVELY FACE as a background to his singing. It's all a bit great.
