Inksome?

What's Inksome? Why Inksome? I'd never heard of it till yesterday. My backup's on IJ and it is actually backed up a reasonably long way and I don't want to have a backup backup and I think I'll just hope LJ doesn't go down. I'm just curious about Inksome.

The world is not being forthcoming. It looks like just another mirror site, but I don't understand why this one I've never heard of before is suddenly everybody's first choice when stuff like IJ's presumably been around a lot longer.

Maybe it has less ads or something. Livejournal didn't have any back when you needed a code to get an account, did it?

It does seem to lack ads. But I thought IJ did too. Probably I just don't actually look at things.
