My father bought digital scales for the bathroom. I eye them most dubiously. The old ones were older than me and were really kind of random, but that meant you could look at the reading and, if you didn't much like it, you could put it down to the needle's being slightly bent and the workings' being out of tune and the glass panel's being too scratched to properly see through. But these new ones will tell the truth. And I think that's just rude.
My other news is that I'm playing scrabble with my mother and I've had the q (with a u), the z and the x for about half a dozen turns now with not a single place to put them. It's like a metaphor for a really frustrating game of scrabble.
It's all indoors news today. I don't like it out there.
